A Taste of the Orient...

Don't they look inviting? These were available as we climbed the foothill of Changshan Mountain in Dali, China. The baskets were beautifully adorned with melons, bananas, sea-coconut, oranges and many unfamiliar varieties of local fruit. We bought some on the way down, of course!

These kumquat on the plant are from my own garden haven.

Drop in at Lisa's for more macro shots and visit  Mary to see more mosaic pictures.

  1. Now that is one amazing spread of fruit ... what a terrific selection. It makes me wonder what they all taste like. Great mosaic ... and I imagine you saw many wonderful sights in China. Congrats on growing your own Kumquat ... they make a very tasty jam!

  2. Wonderful shots. Congratulations of growing your own Kumquats, I could not even think about growing them here without a greenhouse. Lucky you. Take care and have a great day.

  3. @ Bernie, A Garden of Threads - My kumquats are doing quite well now that I have transplanted them onto the ground. Hope to harvest enough for some jam in the near future.
